The works for the UBC 05 Iasi project started after a period of about a month that consisted in the preparation of the workshop and the elements to be assembled from Iasi. The date of August 26, 2015 marked the beginning of the building envelope, as the first unit was installed.
The work is expected to be ready at the end of November 2015 for the assembly of the units, while the interior works will be completed during December.
The architectural requirements for the ground floor of the building were a challenge, requiring very large unit sizes, 16-19m² and 7.2 m heights. This requirement led to the use of more than 20 tons of steel only for the stiffening of the elements, the weight of the largest units reaching 1,000 kg.
