Works have commenced on the UBC 05 Iași project, following a preparation period of approximately one month dedicated to workshop setup and the fabrication of the elements to be installed in Iași. August 26, 2015, marked the start of the building’s envelope installation, with the mounting of the very first Unit.
The installation of the unitized panels is expected to be completed by the end of November 2015, with interior finishing works scheduled for completion throughout December.
The architectural requirements for the ground floor presented a significant challenge, imposing very large unit dimensions – between 16 and 19 sqm – with heights of 7.2m. This requirement necessitated the use of more than 20 tons of steel solely for structural reinforcement, with the weight of the largest units reaching 1,000 kg.
